ONZ is pleased to welcome its members to their Annual General Meeting for 2022.
This meeting will be held at the NZ RANZCO meeting in beautiful Blenheim.
The board of ONZ looks forward to meeting its members, discussing last year's initiatives and engaging the members in our future together.
ONZ also gives notice that Dr Shenton Chew has resigned from the board of ONZ, due to family matters. We thank Shenton for his hard work, diligence and input over the last four years. His insight into our patients' interests, and work with Southern Cross Health Insurance, has been valuable to us all.
We also give notice that Dr Derrell Meyer has been acting in this vacant board role and has been nominated for the vacant role, to be voted on at the AGM.
As ever, ONZ strives to ensure the board members represent ophthalmology, the regions and the subspecialties within New Zealand and ophthalmology. We value diversity in all aspects of the profession, our regions, and our culture, therefore we call for further nominations for this and other roles with the ONZ board, from across our membership.
